Information Hotline

The University of Mary Washington "Information Hotline" can accessed 24 hours a day by calling 540.654.2424. The Hotline, which is maintained by the Office of University Relations, provides callers with options for recorded information concerning upcoming public events at the college. Included in the menu are changes in the schedule of public events (option #3) and weather-related information about school closings/delays (option #2).

If weather conditions dictate a change in the college schedule, the Vice President for Administration and Finance will make a decision and the Office of University Relations will post it on the "Information Hotline" by 6 a.m. on the date of the closing/delayed opening.

The Free Lance-Star posts all area inclement weather closings/delays on their web site: http://fredericksburg.com/gtl/closings. The information also is posted on the UMW web site under "Campus Advisories" (top right of the home page).
