UMW PSYCHOLOGY DEPT. AND PSI CHI TO HOST LIVE AUCTION, FEB. 17
Fredericksburg, Va. – The Department of Psychology at the University of Mary Washington and Psi Chi, the psychology honor society, will host the Topher Bill Memorial Scholarship Live Auction on Thursday, February 17 at 5 p.m. in Lee Hall Ballroom. Attendance to the fundraiser is free and open to the public.
Money raised at the auction will be divided between the Topher Bill Memorial Scholarship and the Fredericksburg Brisben Homeless Shelter. Eighty percent of the proceeds will go toward the Topher Bill Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded to a student within the psychology department in memory of the late Mary Washington professor. The remaining 20 percent will benefit the homeless shelter.
Psychology majors will collect items for the auction, donated by faculty and staff of the university. Sample auction items include baked goods, meals with faculty, gift items, and an air tour of Fredericksburg
Professor Steve Hampton will serve as auctioneer.
