UMW PSYCHOLOGY DEPT. AND PSI CHI TO HOST LIVE AUCTION, FEB. 21
Fredericksburg, Va. – The University of Mary Washington Psychology Department and the Psi Chi psychology honor society will host their 4th annual Topher Bill Auction on Wednesday, February 21 at 5 p.m. in Chandler Hall, Room 102. The auction is open to the public without charge.
Proceeds from the auction will go toward the J. Christopher Bill Scholarship, which recognizes an outstanding senior in psychology who has demonstrated excellence in psychology statistics and research methods courses. The scholarship honors the late Christopher “Topher” Bill, a professor who taught at Mary Washington for 30 years.
Psychology majors have collected items for the auction donated by faculty, staff and students of the university. Sample auction items include meals with faculty, baked goods and a motorcycle tour through the back roads of Virginia with the Easy Geezers Motorcycle Club, a group of psychology and business professors. In addition, the Psychology Department student representatives are auctioning off a free night of babysitting. The auctioneer will be Steve Hampton, associate professor of psychology.
