The Wellness Resource Center (WRC) at the Fitness Center is open to all members of the University of Mary Washington community during the Fitness Center hours of operation and is now wireless. The WRC is a resource environment that includes magazines, books, videos, brochures, pamphlets, and posters, a TV/VHS/DVD combination unit, a student-configured computer and a fitness assessment area. There is also a conference table that can easily accommodate 8 to 10 persons.

The center can be reserved and used by campus groups for meetings and seminars. Reservations for the center can be made by contacting Bob Liebau, the Associate Director of Campus Recreation at 654-1098.

You've been a college freshman so you will live longer! A recent Harvard Medical School study found that people with more than 12 years of formal education - even if it's only one year of college - live 18 months longer that those with fewer years of schooling. Why? The more education you have, the less likely you are to smoke. According to the CDC, only about 10% of adults with an undergraduate degree smoke compared with 35% of those with a high school education or less.
