Below is a simple timeline to help keep students and families on track.<\/p><table width=\"99%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"20%\"><strong>Prior to October 1<br>\n<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"80%\">Students and parents of dependent students: Create a Federal Student Aid ID, so that you can complete your <a href=\"https:\/\/fsaid.ed.gov\">FAFSA<\/a> after October 1 of the year prior to admission.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>October 1<br>\n<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/fafsa.ed.gov\/\">FAFSA<\/a> available!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>January-March<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Log into a UMW Financial Aid chat! Register through the Office of Admissions.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>February 1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td><a href=\"https:\/\/umw.scholarships.ngwebsolutions.com\">UMW Online Scholarship Manager<\/a> open. Apply for UMW Scholarships!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>February 1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>FAFSA Deadline: Apply by this date to receive the max amount of financial aid for which you are eligible. FAFSA&rsquo;s will still be accepted after the Feb 1 deadline. All undergraduate students continue to be eligible for federal Direct Student Loans, and Federal Grants. Other funds (Virginia State Grants, scholarships, etc.) will not be available after the priority deadline.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>May 15<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Online Scholarship Application Deadline &ndash; 11:59 pm.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Throughout June<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Attend UMW Orientation! Don&rsquo;t forget to attend our Financial Aid and Financial Literacy sessions!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>June 1<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Deadline to submit all requested verification documents to the UMW Financial Aid Office. Also, don&rsquo;t forget to complete the IRS Data Retrieval through your FAFSA.
