and they matter.\u00a0Any high-five that does not meet the guidelines below does not count toward the total record.<\/p>\n<p>Learn how to perform an official high-five by watching UMW&#8217;s video:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1100\" height=\"619\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rwGvS7XyY28?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Here are the basics:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A jumping high-five is defined as two people performing a standard high-five while\u00a0in the air.<\/li>\n<li>Each participant must use only one hand.<\/li>\n<li>Each participant may be part of only one high-five.<\/li>\n<li>All participants must jump into the air and perform a high-five with a partner within five seconds of a signal being given.<\/li>\n<li>Participants must slap their entire hand, palm to palm, against the other participant&#8217;s hand.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"tiled-gallery type-rectangular tiled-gallery-unresized\" data-original-width=\"1100\" data-carousel-extra='null' itemscope itemtype=\"http:\/\/schema.org\/ImageGallery\" > <div class=\"gallery-row\" style=\"width: 1100px;
