\"personDecember arrives with a whirlwind of emotions and activities.\u00a0 Some celebratory, some reflective, and some overwhelming.\u00a0 In between all the hustle and bustle, we often find ourselves longing for time to count our blessings, take stock of the months behind us, and prepare for the new year ahead.\u00a0 This year, let us also count our accomplishments large and small.\u00a0 Make a list. \u00a0Don\u2019t stop until you have at least ten things on it.\u00a0 Include anything you feel good about achieving \u2013 from getting out of bed each day to caring for yourself and others to finally hitting that milestone you\u2019ve worked so hard for. <\/p>\n

As women, we tend to downplay or minimize our accomplishments.\u00a0 We judge and compare.\u00a0 We question if something we are proud of really \u201ccounts\u201d. This is your list.\u00a0 You decide what goes on it.\u00a0 As Theodore Roosevelt once said, \u201ccomparison is the thief of joy\u201d.\u00a0 An accomplishment is simply something that has been successfully completed.\u00a0 It is not dependent on anyone or anything else.\u00a0 Creating your list should be a joyful experience.<\/p>\n

Once you have your list of accomplishments ready, revel in them.\u00a0 Allow yourself to sit and soak it all in.\u00a0 Revel is such a wonderful word.\u00a0 It means to delight or take great pleasure.\u00a0 One definition goes on to say if you revel in something, you\u2019re not just pleased or even excited; you\u2019re overwhelmed by joy.\u00a0 When is the last time you took the opportunity to revel in something you accomplished?\u00a0 Your achievements are worthy of joy and delight.\u00a0 Take advantage of this holiday season to celebrate your accomplishments through lively enjoyment \u2013 revel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
