This additional service adds a direct phone line through UMW&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/students.umw.edu\/counseling\/\">Talley Center for Counseling Services<\/a>, available anytime, including outside of traditional business hours.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&ldquo;We want students to know that support doesn&rsquo;t end when offices close for the day,&rdquo; said UMW Talley Center Director Chad Sims. &ldquo;CrisisNow strengthens our ability to care for students by providing access to professionals who can help them navigate moments of crisis and connect them with ongoing resources and support.&rdquo;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UMW students also have access to TimelyCare services online or via an app, with 24\/7 TalkNow access, scheduled counseling sessions, health coaching and self-care content. Through the TimelyCare partnership, which began in 2023, UMW offers students 12 scheduled virtual counseling sessions per year, regardless of insurance coverage.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The addition of CrisisNow provides direct phone access to trained mental health professionals without requiring students to log in to an app or complete advance registration. The service is designed specifically for higher education and works in coordination with established University protocols and existing support systems.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the CrisisNow phone option, students or staff members who call on behalf of a student can connect with a clinician who can provide immediate intervention. Students who prefer in-person consultations can also connect with UMW staff in the Talley Center for Counseling Services, and the UMW Police Department operates 24\/7 to provide a timely response to student needs on campus.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&ldquo;This investment reflects our commitment to student well-being and to providing a caring community where students know they are never alone,&rdquo; said Associate Vice President for Health and Wellness Juliette Landphair. &ldquo;Also, our staff and faculty often ask me what resources are available to them in support of student health and well-being, and I appreciate that CrisisNow is accessible to them in assisting students as well.&rdquo;<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Information about CrisisNow and UMW&rsquo;s partnership with TimelyCare is available on the <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/students.umw.edu\/counseling\/\"><em>Talley Center for Counseling Services<\/em><\/a><em> website.
