Season and individual program tickets are available for the Fredericksburg Forum, which is hosted by the University of Mary Washington.<\/p>
The series will begin on Tuesday, October 2, with political commentators Steve and Cokie Roberts, followed by journalist Bob Woodward on Tuesday, March 11. Each program will be held at 8 p.m. in the university’s Dodd Auditorium, located in George Washington Hall.<\/p>
The Fredericksburg Forum is a community-sponsored program underwritten by season ticket sales that brings nationally known speakers to the Fredericksburg community and the university. Tickets for the 2007-08 season, which cover both programs, are $50 for general admission, $75 for orchestra seating and $100 for patron seating, which includes a post-event reception with the speakers and priority parking. Individual program tickets are $30 for general admission, $40 for orchestra seating and $55 for patron seating. <\/span>To order tickets, call (540) 654-1055 or go to www.umw.edu\/forum. <\/p> Steve and Cokie Roberts<\/strong><\/p> As two of Washington, D.C.’s most respected political analysts, Steve and Cokie Roberts will share their perspectives on the political issues of the day. <\/span>The couple has been married more than 35 years and published the New York Times<\/em> best-seller From This Day Forward<\/em>. <\/span>As professional partners, they write a nationally syndicated newspaper column focused on political and governmental issues. <\/span><\/p> Both Cokie and Steve also have their own high-profile careers. <\/span>She is the Chief Congressional Analyst for ABC News and the co-anchor of the Sunday morning broadcast This Week with Sam Donaldson & Cokie Roberts<\/em>. <\/span>She also serves as news analyst for National Public Radio. <\/span>Steve, who has been an award-winning journalist for more than 30 years, appears regularly on public television’s Washington Week<\/em>, CNN’s Late Edition<\/em> and the ABC radio network. <\/span>He also is a professor of media and public affairs at The George Washington University.<\/p> Bob Woodward<\/strong><\/p> <\/span>Pulitzer Prize-winner Bob Woodward is known for his work with Carl Bernstein on the Watergate scandal in 1973. <\/span>In addition, he was the main reporter for The Washington Post<\/em>’s <\/em>articles on the aftermath of the September 11 terrorist attacks that won the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize in 2002. <\/span>Having worked for the Post <\/em>since 1971, Woodward has won nearly every American journalism award, including the Gerald R.
