Photo courtesy of The Washington Post.<\/figcaption><\/figure><p>The tattooed, skateboarding leader is well-known as an educational disrupter who transcends the status quo and typical educational norms. Brewer made a name for himself at Occoquan Elementary School in Prince William County, where he championed innovative programs that earned the school national recognition as a National Title I Distinguished School. Now in his first year at Fred M. Lynn Middle School in Northern Virginia, the high-spirited Brewer is tasked with spearheading the same transformation he led at Occoquan.<\/p><p>Brewer&rsquo;s video &ldquo;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freethinkmedia.com\/shows\/culture\/video\/the-relentless-principal\/\">The Relentless Principal<\/a>&rdquo; has generated more than 24 million views. He has been featured on NBC&rsquo;s <em>Nightly News with Lester Holt<\/em> and was named a Hometown Hero by Fox 5 in Washington, D.C.<\/p><p>Brewer has been recognized as a top principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
