They&rsquo;ll explore and develop their personal leadership philosophies with Executive Director of Human Resources Beth Williams.<\/p><p>Participants can travel to Europe to tour Sicily with COE Professor Antonio Causarano and explore Italian Renaissance art with Professor of Art History Julia DeLancey. They&rsquo;ll bring out their inner poet, using news articles to create flowing prose with COE assistant professors Christy Irish and Melissa Wells. And they&rsquo;ll get a peek at the latest in 3D design and basics of circuit-board computer programming with COE Professor George Meadows.<\/p><p>Government employees will learn the secrets to success in a multi-generational workplace with Associate Provost for Academic Success and Student Engagement Tim O&rsquo;Donnell, and discover ways to engage audiences and improve professional performance with COE associate professors Janine Davis and John Broome.<\/p><p>Mary Washington&rsquo;s Stafford Campus is located at 125 University Blvd., off U.S. 17 North.&nbsp;The day is free and includes a light lunch, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/umw-day-of-networking-and-professional-development-for-federal-employees-tickets-54879375690\">registration through Event Brite<\/a> is required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What does a furloughed federal employee do while awaiting the return to work?
