As the spring semester begins to unfold, your student can look ahead and make summer plans which can include an international experience.
Studies and internships abroad are a great way to earn some additional credits and to get ahead in a particular major all while gaining some valuable professional skills to add to a resume.
Led by UMW faculty, here are several summer offerings for your student to choose from:
- UMW Psychology in Europe
- UMW in France | IAU Provence
- UMW in London | Summer at London South Bank
- UMW in Paris | American Business School
- UMW in South Africa | Community Engagement
- UMW in Spain | Spain for All
- UMW in Wales | Arthurian and Fantasy Literature

For those students interested in doing an internship abroad, UMW has partners in Ireland, Czech Republic, and Spain. From the arts to politics, business to communications, healthcare, education, media, law, or NGO’s, students will have access to a broad spectrum of intellectually stimulating international placements based on their preferred industry sector and personal goals.
It is never too early to think about education abroad and the Center for International Education located in the 4th floor of Lee Hall is the first stop to discover new destinations and academic opportunities.
