Update at 2:10 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect is no longer on campus and Fredericksburg Police has discontinued the search. Please remain vigilant and contact UMW Police if you see the individual. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with the federal Clery Act, this notice is being sent as a timely warning from The University of Mary Washington Police Department. This message may be received as a duplicate:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

An armed robbery has been reported in the city of Fredericksburg today, Dec. 7. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a gray beanie, a black jacket, and jeans, along with Adidas shoes. The individual was last seen in the vicinity of the Randolph Hall area around 1 p.m. and was reported to be armed with a knife. UMW Police are responding on the scene along with the Fredericksburg Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
