Early Arrivals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Fall Semester Early Arrivals<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Students wishing to come to campus early in August will need to obtain approval through the Early Arrival process. Due to scheduled maintenance and turnover on campus, we will do our best to have Early Arrivals move into their Fall assignments, however students may be housed in temporary locations based on the readiness of the residence halls.  Please note that there is a campus-wide steam shutdown that affects hot water in all residence halls (excluding Eagle Landing and UMW Apartments) through the first week of August.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Individual Requests<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Those upper-class students without a University sponsor may request to arrive early (no earlier than August 11) by submitting an Individual Early Arrival Request Form in Roompact<\/a> no later than Friday, July 25th.<\/strong> Approval will be made based on individual need and readiness of the residence halls to receive students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please note: approval of Early Arrivals is not guaranteed.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key pick-up location for all returning students arriving early is Eagle Landing Front Desk between the hours of 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sponsored Group<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Students sponsored by a University department with a legitimate need to arrive early for a University-sponsored program are not charged for housing; sponsors must submit a request via email using the\u00a0Sponsored Early Arrival Spreadsheet\u00a0<\/a>template to our\u00a0Assistant Director of Housing Operations<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline to sponsor early arrivals is July 25th.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To complete the spreadsheet, each sponsor will need to know the information below for each residential<\/em> student arriving early to campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
