Custis and Madison – Move-In Instructions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Check-in Times<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

First-Year and Transfer Students<\/strong>: August 20th
3rd floor: 8am – 10am
2nd floor: 10am – 11:30am
1st floor: 11:30am – 1pm
Returning Students<\/strong>: August 23rd – 24th, 9am – 2pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directions to Campus for Residents of Custis\/Madison:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the North & South:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Take I-95 to exit 130A: Fredericksburg, Rt 3 East business<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Merge off I-95 onto Rt 3 East business<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Turn Left at light onto William St<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Turn Left at Sunken Rd, immediately after light for College Ave<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Bear Left into Rear Gates of UMW<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    As you approach campus you will see directional signage courtesy of UMW Police and VDOT. Please follow the signs and university personnel\u2019s instructions as you approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Loading Zones:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Under no circumstances may cars be left unattended in designated Unloading Zones. The driver of the vehicle must remain with the vehicle at all times in designated unloading zones. Please follow all verbal instructions from University Staff and Move-In crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Long term parking locations:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Long term parking is available in the Alvey parking garage (Except top floor), Alvey lot, Thornton lot, and Sunken Road Lot (near UMW Apts). Please park in these locations after 2pm on move-in day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Handicap Parking:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Altered parking lot designations on Move-In Day do not apply to spaces designated as handicap parking. Any vehicle parked in a handicap space must display a valid placard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
