UMW Apartments – Move-In Instructions<\/h2>

Check‐in Times<\/h3>

Transfer Students<\/strong>: August 19th, 9am – 10am, check in at Westmoreland Hall<\/a>
Returning Students<\/strong>: August 22nd – 23rd, 9am – 2pm<\/p>

Directions to Campus for Residents of UMW Apartments:<\/h3>

From the North & South:<\/h4>
    \n
  1. Take I‐95 to exit 130A: Fredericksburg, RT 3 East Business<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Merge off I‐95 onto Rt 3 East Business<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Turn Left at light onto William St<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Turn Right into UMW Apartments, immediately after Trinity Church on corner of College Ave<\/li>\n<\/ol>

    As you approach campus you will see directional signage courtesy of UMW Police and VDOT. Please follow the signs and university personnel’s instructions as you approach.<\/p>

    Loading Zones:<\/h3>

    Under no circumstances may cars be left unattended in designated Unloading Zones. The driver of the vehicle must remain with the vehicle at all times in designated unloading zones. All cars must be moved from unloading zones to long-term parking by 3 pm. Please follow all verbal instructions from University Staff and Move-In crew. <\/p>

    Returning students who move into the UMW Apartments on Saturday must park their cars in the Sunken Road Lot so students moving in on Sunday have space to unload in front of their buildings. <\/p>

    Long term parking locations:<\/h3>

    Long term parking is available in the Alvey parking garage (Except top floor), Alvey lot, Thornton lot, and Sunken Road Lot (near UMW Apts). Please move your vehicle to one of these locations when finished unloading on Move-In Day.<\/p>

    Handicap Parking:<\/h3>

    Altered parking lot designations on Move‐In Day do not apply to spaces designated as handicap parking. Any vehicle parked in a handicap space must display a valid placard.<\/p>
