Committees Involved?
What should be the structure of the Alumni Relations programs in the new university? COPLAC institutions, Gulf Coast Univ., Arcadia Univ. (formerly Beaver College), Univ. College of Univ. of MD, Johns Hopkins, Richmond College of Univ. of Richmond. Ron will contact the Public Relations offices to determine which ones meet the following criteria: (1) a traditional liberal arts primarily residential undergraduate program that is at the core of the university, and (2) an adult graduate and continuing education division that serves a regional commuting population of students.  After identifying a list of approved ÏmodelÓ schools, Cindy has agreed to help or lead the research efforts that will look at the alumni programs within these schools.  She will prepare a report on each school using a case study method.  
What constitutes an Alumnus/Alumna at each college?  (Do we need to be more specific than ÏcollegeÓ?) ?? (perhaps this committee)
What are (will be) the characteristics (demographics, economic status, etc.) of alumni at each campus? Archival info from Alumni Relations for MWC; not yet fully available for JMC;  Survey of alumni  
What factors can be identified as contributing to pride (as perhaps measured alumni donor participation rates) in oneÌs alma mater?  How can these factors be maximized or at least perpetuated?  Students and Alumni Survey of students and alumni
II. Development
What should be the structure of the Development programs in the new university? Same as for Alumni Relations program question above.  Jeff has agreed to help or lead the research efforts that will look at the development programs within these ÏmodelÓ schools.  He will prepare a report on each school using a case study method.
Who are the targets of our development efforts?  MWC Development office, JMC ?
What are the goals of the Development Program now?  What will the goals be ten years from now? ?????
What is a Ïfriend of MWCÓ?  Who will be a Ïfriend of __UÓ?  Answer: any donor.  What are characteristics of Ïfriends of ___Ó?  Development Office
III. Marketing
What kind of marketing do we need?
Admissions  (probably not this committee)
Promotion of the institution to the community College Advancement/Development Office, ??
Alumni College Advancement/Alumni Relations, ??
Development  College Advancement/Development Office, ??
How should marketing and image concerns be addressed?  (There are two committees that deal with these.) Mission & Image
