- Board to Name Tennis Complex for Former UMW Athletic Director
The University of Mary Washington Board of Visitors voted to name the outdoor tennis courts the Edward H. Hegmann II Tennis Complex to honor the accomplishments and outstanding contributions of the university’s first athletic director. A dedication ceremony is planned for April 2014.
- Women’s Club Soccer Team Headed to National Championships
The University of Mary Washington women’s club soccer team competed in the 2013 NIRSA National Championships in Phoenix, Arizona. UMW was the only NCAA Division III program in the entire championship bracket.
