Interview: Applying to UMW as a first-year student? Share who you are with our Admissions staff directly. Interviews are not required, but will place you in consideration for a “Taking Flight” scholarship that ranges between $1,000-$2,000. Interviews are reserved for high school seniors for fall 2021 admission candidates and are available between July 1-February 1. Students must apply to UMW prior to interviewing. The interview must be completed by February 1 for consideration.

Daily Tours and Information Sessions
Campus tours and information sessions beginning on July 6.
Tours will be 60 minutes and will take place at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Information sessions are 30 minutes and will be held at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
UMW is adhering to recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) “Considerations for Institutes of Higher Education,” including Governor Northam’s “Forward Virginia” plan, and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) such as the “COVID-19 Interim Testing Recommendations for Colleges and Universities.”
Special Notes for Your Visit
- Guests must register in advance for tours & information sessions.
- Information Sessions are limited to 30 guests and will take place indoors.
- Campus tours will be limited to 10 guests per tour.
- Guided campus tours will remain outside of buildings.
- Guests are encouraged to bring your own mask and will be required to wear one during all aspects of the visit (both inside and outside).
- Social distancing will be practiced during the session and on tour.
Your confirmation email will contain arrival protocol to ensure your safety and the safety of other guests and staff while visiting our campus community. Prior to arriving on campus, please self-assess your health and exposure to determine if a campus visit is appropriate for you at this time.
