The Galleries at the University of Mary Washington will be hosting three new exhibitions with one exhibition beginning this month. Two of these exhibits will include artwork by UMW students.
In honor of the retirement of President Richard V. Hurley, “the high-fiving president,” the University of Mary Washington will attempt this spring to break a Guinness world record. The goal is to achieve the highest number of people performing simultaneous jumping high-fives.

More than 200 area Special Olympic athletes took part in a regional Special Olympics Basketball invitational at the University of Mary Washington’s Anderson Center on Sunday, Jan. 31. UMW Athletics hosted the day-long event as part of a NCAA Division III national partnership with the Special Olympics organization.
