Debra Jo Schleef, professor of sociology at the University of Mary Washington, has been recognized with the J. Christopher Bill Outstanding Faculty Service Award for her contributions to the University as well as her involvement and leadership in the community. The award was presented at the University’s opening faculty meeting on Thursday, Aug. 25.

The University of Mary Washington was ranked 56th out of 1,300 four-year colleges for the lowest student loan debt per borrower, according to LendEDU’s Student Loan Debt by School By State report. In a listing of public colleges and universities, UMW ranked 23rd.
