Information Hotline

The University of Mary Washington “Information Hotline” can be accessed 24 hours a day by calling (540) 654-2424. The Hotline, which is maintained by the Office of News and Public Information, provides callers with recorded information concerning weather-related campus closings, delays or cancellations of classes or events. Sports information is available through the Athletics Hotline at (540) 654-1UMW (1869).

If weather conditions dictate a change in the university’s schedule, the Vice President for Administration and Finance will make a decision and the Office of University Relations will post it on the “Information Hotline” by 6 a.m. on the date of the closing or delayed opening. A decision about evening class changes will be made by 3 p.m. on the day in question.

Fredericksburg.com allows UMW and other organizations to post inclement weather closings and delays at http://fredericksburg.com/gtl/closings. The information also is posted on the UMW home page.
