Just watched your entire class on Gone with the Wind and look forward to more if it’s possible. Just wanted to point out when you and your students were discussing how Scarlet would have inherited the lumber business from Kennedy, I just wanted to point out that in the book they did have a child who was very mealy mouthed like its (can’t remember the sex but I think it was a boy) father so in fact, in name only I imagine Scarlett was running the business for the child especially if it was a boy. I think her child with Hamilton was a girl, very simple like her father. Or do I have this backwards? In any case, each of her first two children retained the characteristics of their father. The Hamilton child was also afraid of Scarlett too.
