All University of Mary Washington campuses (Fredericksburg, Dahlgren, and Stafford) will operate on a normal schedule, Monday, Feb. 2.
Schedules:
Classes the week of Feb. 2 will be offered as scheduled, in-person. As always, if there are any changes to planned class meetings, instructors will notify their students.
If your schedule changes due to weather and road conditions in your area, please contact your instructors and supervisors to make alternative arrangements for missed classes or work.
Employees may use expanded telework flexibility in coordination with supervisors.
Travel and Parking:
Please allow extra time to get to your classes and offices this week. The cleared parking areas may be those furthest from your destination, and the best route may not be the fastest or most direct route. Stay on walkways and do not take shortcuts across uncleared areas. Exercise caution as you navigate campus and expect to walk through possible patches of sand, salt, snow, slush and ice. We appreciate your continued patience, as our Facilities team has worked tirelessly to remove the snow and ice from campus and clear primary pathways, improving conditions through the weekend.
Snow emergency parking restrictions have concluded, today, Feb. 1.
Parking for the men’s basketball game on Sunday, Feb. 1, at noon is available at the Alvey Parking Deck, which is only accessible via Sunken Road. The top level of the deck is closed as is Alvey Drive, as these areas are slow to thaw from the ice. Come out to the Ron Rosner Arena in the Anderson Center to cheer on the Eagles or watch from home via the livestream.

TimelyCare uses single sign-on so you’ll access it with your UMW NetID – just using umw.edu at the end (mail.umw.edu will not work). Please note that you’ll complete an information form on your first visit to the site.
For faculty and staff, information about the Employee Assistance Program may be accessed through the Human Resources website.
