University of Mary Washington associate professor of English and published author, Warren Rochelle will sign copies of his most recent novel, “Harvest of Changelings,” at the UMW Bookstore on Thursday, November 8 from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public.
An expert in creative writing that includes science fiction and fantasy, Dr. Rochelle has had his work published in several journals and publications including Foundation, Extrapolation, The North Carolina Literary Review and the Asheville Poetry Review. He also is the author of “The Wild Boy.”
Dr. Rochelle earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master of science degree in library science from Columbia University and a doctorate in English and a master of fine arts degree in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Dr. Rochelle’s numerous awards include the Fullerton Merit Award for Teaching from Limestone College, a third prize in the Briada Press Short Story Contest and a second prize in the Coraddi fiction contest. He is a member of the National Council of Teachers of English, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, the Science Fiction Research Association, the South Atlantic Modern Language Association, the Association of Writers and Writing Programs and the American Association of University Professors.
