
The University of Mary Washington will host the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball Tournament this weekend, March 6 and 7, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
The UMW Eagles, seeded fourth in the championship and entering postseason play with a 24–3 record, will face Worcester State University on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a 5 p.m. matchup between Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Amherst College. Winners from Friday’s games will advance to a second‑round contest on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., with a berth in the Sweet 16 at stake.
This marks UMW’s fifth NCAA Tournament appearance and the second time the University has hosted tournament games. The Eagles are undefeated at home this season.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Ron Rosner Arena in the Anderson Center beginning 90 minutes prior to the first game each day and are valid for all games that day. Additional details, including ticket information, parking details and the full bracket, are available at umweagles.com.
