Wei Chen earned a Ph.D. in management from Texas Tech University. Her research interests are in business strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, business history, and business ethics. Her research won the Best Paper Award by the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and by the Journal of Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice. Journal of Management History selected one of her publications as the Highly Commended Paper of the year. Besides her academic pursuits, she has translated books in art, worked in the ocean shipping business, and volunteered for nonprofit organizations.
