In the Spring of 2016, I recall gazing out into the endless dunes of the Sahara Desert and suddenly feeling like my life back in the U.S. was very small.
During the spring semester of my junior year, I chose to study overseas in Bilbao, Spain, at the University of Deusto. I had never been overseas for such a long time and I didn’t know what to expect. I just knew that I wanted to go explore the world!
I’ve participated in two faculty-led study abroad programs here at Mary Washington, UMW in Cuba and UMW in South Africa.
