Concierge Services Team
The Concierge Services student staff is responsible for providing on-site assistance in the Cedric Rucker University Center (CRUC), the Hurley Convergence Center’s Digital Auditorium (DA), and the Underground. at Lee Hall.
Responsibilities include setting up furniture and some equipment, and sometimes running or troubleshooting equipment in conjunction with Events AV for events in all three areas, plus staffing the Information Desk in the Cedric Rucker University Center (CRUC) during open hours. Configurable spaces include:
- CRUC Chandler Ballrooms A, B, C or combined
- CRUC Gourley and South Living Rooms
- CRUC Colonnade Room, Capital Room, Maple Room, Linden Terrace
- Digital Auditorium, DA lobby and DA Garden
- The Underground
Each employee is required to have two weekday shifts and one weekend shift each two-week pay period. Shifts may be 2-4 hours long and are assigned based on student availability and preferences. Staff may also pick up shifts offered by other staff who may have a conflict and need coverage (shifts are staff responsibility until they are covered). Average hours are about 15 per two-week pay period.
New staff are hired primarily at the start of each semester, but it never hurts to ask if any positions are available mid-way through!
