Systems and Resources
At the University of Mary Washington, we use several specialized platforms to support your on-campus living experience. Below is an overview of the key systems and how you’ll interact with each:
Housing Portal – Housing Applications & Assignments
The Housing Portal is where you will:
- Complete your housing application and sign the housing and dining agreement
- Indicate roommate preferences
- Manage housing-related profile updates
- View (all students) and select (returning students) room assignments
- View and contact assigned roommates
Roompact – Forms, Roommate Agreements & Communication
Roompact helps us stay connected and organized in the residence halls. Through Roompact, you can:
- Submit important residence life forms like loft kit requests, break housing registration, or extended stay/early arrival
- Complete your roommate agreement
- Receive messages from your RA or Residence Life staff
*Please note that there are periods throughout the year where Roompact will display occupants for multiple terms, usually during the summer months. This is necessary to ensure summer students have access to Roompact for their move-in/move-out obligations while academic year students have the ability to complete early arrival/late departure, move-in/move-out, and bed lofting requests. Students should utilize the Housing Portal to verify roommate assignments for a specific semester.
Work Orders – Maintenance Requests
Submit work orders for any facility-related issues in your residence hall, such as:
- Light bulb replacements
- Heating/cooling problems
- Plumbing concerns
- Housekeeping issues in lounges and hall bathrooms
