Using Roompact
The Roompact Hub
The Hub is a place where Residence Life and Housing can place announcements that will be viewable anytime you log in. Since there are only specific times of year that students need to submit forms, the Hub may often be empty. Essential, time-sensitive information from the department will be communicated by other methods.
Filing Forms
We will try to minimize the amount of paperwork we need from you throughout the year, but there are a few times where the completion of forms is essential in our ability to provide appropriate service and accommodations to you. Some forms are required such as the Room Condition Report which should be completed immediately upon move-in to any new housing assignment or the Check-Out form which tells our team when we can expect you to move out. Other forms will depend on your circumstances including Break Registration, Extended Stay/Early Arrival requests, the Loft Kit form, or an application for one of our student employment opportunities.
Roompact allows us to keep the forms brief as your Single Sign-On will automatically add your name and room number to any form you complete.
Roommate Agreements
All residential students are expected to complete an agreement with their assigned roommate. Students residing in suites or apartments will also have a suitemate agreement to complete. These are living documents that set some ground rules for the shared space that all occupants can agree on. When there is conflict, our staff will utilize your responses as a starting point in the mediation process. Roommate agreements should be completed within the first two weeks but can be revisited at any time.
The roommate agreement has a lot of pre-defined questions that we know have the potential of causing conflict if students are not on the same page. We encourage students to take the process seriously as it will set roommates up for success throughout the year.
Did our questions not cover everything that is important to you? No worries! You can add your own terms to the agreement.
The final step is to add your signature. Once all roommates log in and sign the agreement, it is complete!
