Timely Warning – May 18, 2026
In accordance with the federal Clery Act, this notice is being sent as a timely warning from The University of Mary Washington Police Department:
The Fredericksburg Police are investigating an attempted burglary at Top Notch Custom Paint LLC located at 616 Kenmore Ave.
Two masked males entered the establishment and held three individuals at gunpoint and assaulted them. One individual is being treated for non-life threatening injuries caused by the assault.
One masked male is described as wearing white and red gloves, grey or black hoodie, black pants, white shoes, and a white mask. The other suspect description is currently unknown. Both suspects left on foot in the direction of Jackson Street. A K9 track is currently underway.
