Westmoreland Hall

Westmoreland Hall is a residence hall located between George Washington Hall and Ball Hall. In 1939, this residence hall was completed and named in honor of Westmoreland County, Virginia, the birthplace of well-known leaders including George Washington and James Monroe. When the hall was built, it was designed to store stage scenery and costumes for theatrical productions. Westmoreland houses 111 students in double, and triple rooms featuring suite baths.

Westmoreland has a kitchen, laundry room, and vending machines on the basement floor. Additionally, there is a kitchen on the third floor. The spacious lobby on the first floor has a television, while a smaller lounge on the third floor serves as a meeting area.  A Summer 2022 refresh of Westmoreland Hall included new lighting, bathtub/shower surrounds, and updates to the basement lounge and study spaces to include flooring, lighting, and furnishings.
