FAFSA Verification

Were you selected for FAFSA Verification? If so, it will be one of three types of verification (V1, V4, or V5). V1 is the most common type of Verification and will require submission of your tax information so that it can be compared to your FAFSA information. You can view your requirements through your UMW SSB portal in the financial aid tab.

Special Circumstance

Does your FAFSA not reflect your current financial situation. This could be due to a loss of income or benefit, change in family situation, etc. If so, please consider our Special Circumstance process.

Unusual Circumstance

Do you have a situation that impacts your dependency status, or were you considered an Unaccompanied Homeless Youth during high school? Please reach out to our Financial Aid Advisors prior to completing this form to determine your next steps.

Consortium Agreement

Are you planning on taking a course (or more) at another institution? This form allows the UMW Financial Aid office to work with your host school and to count all enrollment for financial aid purposes. Keep in mind that courses taken at other institutions must first be approved for transfer by the Office of the Registrar.

Satisfactory Academic Progress

Were you notified that you are no longer meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress and are no longer eligible for financial aid? If so, please consider our Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal process.

Merit Appeal

Were you notified that you did not meet the criteria to renew your merit scholarship? If so, please consider the Merit Scholarship Appeal Form.

Summer Semester Loans

Complete this form if you wish to receive loans for the summer semester. All other financial aid will automatically be applied to your account as long as you meet the requirements.

Loan Adjustment

Complete this form if you are interested in cancelling, reinstating, or reducing your Federal Direct Loan.
