Residence Life Damage Detail Codes
Chart of descriptions of common residence hall charges. The amount charged for each category of charge is variable and dependent upon the severity of the damage caused.

| 9001 | Key Charge | Lost or did not return |
| 9002 | Room Cleaning | Excessively dirty room |
| 9003 | Common Area Trash Removal | Trash that was found in a common area of the building (ex. Lobby, Kitchen, Floor section) |
| 9004 | Community Damage | Damage to UMW property in common areas |
| 9005 | Personal Trash Removal | Personal trash, belongings left in the room or suite bathroom. |
| 9006 | Paint Repair/Repaint | Chipped Paint, complete wall repaint |
| 9007 | Wall Damage | Holes in wall, plaster jobs by resident, broken outlet covers. |

| 9010 | Furniture Damage | Broken Chair, Dresser, Desk, Bed, etc. |
| 9011 | Missing Furniture | |
| 9014 | Window Damage | |

| 9017 | Bed Assembly | |
| 9018 | Bathroom Cleaning | Bathroom in suite or common area was left excessively dirty |
| 9019 | Kitchen Cleaning | Common Area or Apartment Kitchen cleaning charge |
| 9020 | Sticker/Adhesive Removal | Includes but is not limited to Duct Tape, Stickers, tape residue, hooks |
| 9021 | Nail Holes | |
| 9022 | Furniture Reset/Re-assembly | |
| 9025 | Improper Check Out (breaks) | Includes all breaks when the University is closed |
| 9027 | Overnight Charge | |
| 9029 | Miscellaneous Charge | If a miscellaneous charge is given usually an explanation will appear in the description box. |
| 9030 | Improper Check Out Year-End | Did not follow communicated checkout instructions including but not limited to scheduling a check out time with an RA, completing check out sheet, completing RCI, etc. |
