Commuter students may select a meal plan by submitting a Off-Campus Meal Plan Agreement application. To select a meal plan log in and access the application through the Housing Portal. If the application is not available after logging in, email firstname.lastname@example.org to request access.
All residential students must have a meal plan. Residential students select their meal plan through the Housing and Dining Services Agreement application process in the Housing Portal. Residential students wishing to be exempt from having a meal plan may submit the Meal Plan Exemption Request Form. Meal plan exemptions will not be reviewed for the Fall semester after July 1 of the current calendar year.
Changes to Meal Plans
All changes in meal plans, meaning increases or decreases, must be requested within the first two weeks of classes each semester. Any requests submitted after the second week of classes will be automatically denied unless the student moved from Eagle Landing or the UMW Apartments into a traditional residence hall. In such cases the student will be assigned the smallest meal plan for traditional housing, unless otherwise indicated. Note: First time students on the Eagle Plan are not allowed to change their meal plan during the first academic year regardless of where they live.
If a student runs out of meals before the semester has concluded, the student needs to contact Chris Porter, Meal Plan Manager at email@example.com or 540/654-1659 to discuss their options.
Meal Plan Change Instructions:
To change a meal plan, students must go into the meal plan application where they selected their meal plan and choose a different plan. Choices are limited to what they are eligible to select. In order to ask for an exemption or reduction, students need to log into MyUMW and fill out the form found at https://umw.presence.io/form/meal-plan-exemption-request
Off-Campus Meal Plan Cancellation
Off-Campus meal plans are selected for both Fall and Spring semesters. If an off-campus student decides they want to cancel the meal plan for the Spring semester, they must request the cancellation by emailing Chris Porter at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students can not cancel their meal plan in the Housing Portal.
