Your Student’s College Journey Starts Now

College may still feel several years away, but the habits, relationships, and decisions your student makes in ninth grade can help shape their future.

Through Eagles in Flight, students begin taking important steps toward college by:

  • Building strong academic habits
  • Exploring interests and potential careers
  • Getting involved in school and community activities
  • Learning about different colleges and college experiences
  • Experiencing the University of Mary Washington campus
  • Developing relationships with mentors and supportive adults
  • Building confidence and independence
  • Beginning to see themselves as future college students

9th Grade: Explore

This year is about discovering who you are, what you enjoy, and where you might want to go.

Eagles in Flight will help students begin exploring their possibilities while building the foundation they need for future success.
