There’s a lot to love on our 234-acre campus – the warm, welcoming Mary Wash community most of all. After a UMW campus tour, explore our quaint Fredericksburg charm – bustling with rich history, vibrant arts, and the great outdoors. If you’re a foodie or coffee-lover, you’re also in the right place. Come visit, and we’ll show you all we have to offer. The truth is, you can’t really get us until you see us for yourself.

Group Tours

The University of Mary Washington is delighted to host special group tours on campus. We ask visiting school groups to limit the number of students to no more than 50 due to the limited facility and staff resources.

Explore Fredericksburg after your tour.

Just a short walk from campus, historic downtown Fredericksburg is full of charm—UMW alumni owned coffee shops, chef-run restaurants, and unique local shops. It’s the perfect place to grab a bite, take a stroll, and get a feel for the town while you’re here.
